Janel Clare Sterbentz has a master’s degree in urban studies and a bachelor’s in sociology. She has volunteered for many organizations throughout her life and has turned two of her passions into successful businesses. As founder of GreenEdge Studios, Janel produced, filmed, and edited countless videos showcasing people and organizations working to improve their communities and the world. In San Francisco, she spearheaded projects to create greenlight corridors so cyclists bike without encountering red lights. She founded and served as executive director of the bicycle advocacy group Bike San Antonio, which brought together a diverse coalition of people to make cycling in the city safer and more enjoyable. It led to millions of dollars being devoted to protected bike lanes. She is currently Advocacy Leader at Hawaii Bicycling League.
